Ruiyang Yu received the B.E. degree in electrical engineering from Shandong University, Jinan, China, in 2007, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in power electronics from The University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong, in 2008 and 2013, respectively.

He was a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow from 2013 to 2017 and an Instructor in 2016 with North Carolina State University, Raleigh, NC, USA. He is currently a Research Associate with The University of Texas at Austin, Austin, TX, USA. His research interests include high-frequency and high-power-density power converter design, megawatt power converter design, magnetic components, and power converter control.
